The First Syntax:The Start of Something Bigger!!

Hi! I'm Joaquin Pocholo A. Albudin, 1st year student at Far Eastern University Alabang Campus taking Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a specialization in Data science

Why Computer Science?

The main reasons I took this course first, I am passionate about learning programing languages like C++, Python, SQL, Java and any other programming languages that helps me to be more sharp, curious and build more knowledge about technology.

Lastly, my friends from senior high school introduced me into the world of coding which I found it fun to do and Most of the industries are leveraging now with AI/Technology which gives me motivation and opportunities to work more harder in this course for my future.

Career Path

My dream career path is to become a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Software Developer. I am fascinated by the power of technology and data to solve real-world problems and create innovative solutions. These fields require not only technical and analytical skills but also creativity, problem-solving, and continuous learning, which shows that I am eager to develop. By taking this course, I will gain valuable knowledge and hands-on experience that will strengthen my skills in programming, data analysis, and software development while exposing me to essential industry practices. Ultimately, this course will help me turn my dream career into reality.

My Inspiration

My biggest inspiration for pursuing Computer Science is my late uncle, Tito Harris. He studied Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) at Mapua University and later worked as a Software Engineer at Petronas in Malaysia. I admire his dedication, intelligence, and passion for technology, which opened doors for him to work in such a prestigious company abroad. Sadly, he passed away in 2005, but his journey and achievements continue to inspire me. I want to follow in his footsteps by building a career in technology, not only to honor his legacy but also to pursue the same passion for innovation and problem-solving that he embodied.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my dream of becoming a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Software Developer is more than just a career goal, it’s a journey inspired by the story of my late uncle, Tito Harris. He studied hard, pursued engineering, and built a successful career as a Software Engineer abroad, proving that determination and passion can open incredible opportunities. Although his life was cut short in 2005, his legacy lives on in me. Every step I take in learning and improving myself reminds me of the path he once walked, and it pushes me to keep going no matter how difficult the challenges may be. By taking this course, I feel like I’m continuing not just my own dream, but also his, and I hope one day to honor his memory by building a future in technology that he would be proud of.
